US Dreams of Urban (Pseudo) Indians
Let’s address this topic by calling a spade a Spade.
Who are Urban (Pseudo) Indians?
In 21st century, Indians are ideologically divided in 2 parts. Indians and Urban Indians. Obviously, need not to be mentioned, the jihadi types who openly hate this country, are not being considered in the category of being associated with India by any scale. This particular breed can not be tutored or mentored or made to come terms with peace or love or value the nation. Hence, the focus must be on the issue, which is more trivial, the growing divide between Indians and Urban (Pseudo) Indians.
Urban (Pseudo) Indians are a very breed which has been groomed right from the time of independence but started to have its impact on eco system of nation after advent of Social Media. Let’s take it step by step.
Even after India got independence in 1947, we (yes, the collective WE) never actually got free from shackles of colonial mindsets or intellectual illiteracy.
Intellectual illiteracy is something quite common like lack of common sense, spread across the country affecting the rich and the poor, literates and illiterates, towns, cities and villages.
However, colonial mindset is limited to a privileged set which never accepted the definition of this country, never really understood what India stands for. They chose to forget who their ancestors were, rejecting the idea of ‘Bharat’, and accepting the colonial gift, as we know it ‘India’.
The very special indigenous breed ‘Urban (Pseudo) Indians’ possess these two characteristics in equilibrium. They are the current generation of civilians, who are outcome of 70 years of Knowledge without wisdom, doctored history and a lust for superiority complex. Their desire to be Socially Admired has no bounds. Their need to showcase their life to get admiration or attention of fellow attention seekers has grown many folds after advent of Social media in our life.
This special category people feed on likes and dislikes count rather than reality. They like to believe, what they want to believe but the real tragedy is, they don’t even accept the wrong just because they like to believe it is right. These are heavily influenced individuals who want to live a life depicted on celluloid which has no roots to ground reality.
But, why do we need to discuss such breeds today? Why are they important to be even written about?
Urban (Pseudo) Indians and US Dreams
This category individuals are rather insignificant when it comes to exercise voting rights, since, they rarely get time for it, or if they find time for it, it is only to showcase that they did something different (cool). But, the thought process of this breed is affecting many middle-class Indians, which is a more pertinent issue, since, India and its spirit is driven by middle class and rural people who are connected to ground reality. These are the people who are going to exercise their voting rights, decide who is going to represent the nation, choose what is right or wrong for this country. Hence, the spirit of India, or I would rather say ‘Bharat’ needs to endure.
The Urban (Pseudo) Indians usually grow up believing that they do not deserve this country. They would rather like to be born in LA LA LAND. Well, to their dismay, since, it is not achievable, they make it their life mission to get out of this country. They have this firm belief in themselves that they will be able to do no good in this country, but their fortunes will turn over night after moving to more developed nations like US.
Nothing good comes without a cost. Some succeed to get their desire full filled while the rest keep on sulking in this country. Those who get to get out of India, make a deal with the devil, which they never realize in their lifetime until it is too late. And well the rest who are left behind, become nothing but the burden on the free-flowing spirit of this great land ‘BHARAT’.
Urban (Pseudo) Indians and Deal with the Devil
Yes, when one chose to shed self-identity to become part of something strange, it is nothing sort of less than ‘Deal with the Devil’. And that is what the ones, who choose to leave this country for good and beg for Green card and those who keep on sulking of not being able to leave, go through.
They stop believing in self-identity, the glorious past of their ancestors, the knowledge and wisdom of this great land, the joy and emotion to be connected with soil is quite foreign to them. They miss the important events of their closed ones just in pursuit of getting another identity. They express sorrow of passing by of their loved ones only through Social Media posts. They express their happiness to the world through Social Media posts. They support agenda of Foreign powers through their posts by totally believing the foreign system but completely rejecting the facts of one’s own Government. They chose to believe in their shell which is not supposed to be busted with facts and allegiance towards one’s nation. Ultimately, they lose the human touch towards one’s nation and like to believe that what ever is being spread over Social Media is the ultimate truth. Their sense of justice is limited to the likes they get on their post rather than the ill effects of it on the Eco-system of nation.
Impact on Indian Eco System
Words like ‘Secularism’ and ‘Socialism’ drive them in the pursuit of gaining appreciation of foreign powers and fellow fools. When the collective identity of India needs to be strengthened rather than the appeasement of a particular community, the so called Pseudo Indians, forget the very definition of Secularism, and in pursuit of appeasing the global audience, they forget to represent the causes of their own community. The idea of socialism takes over when it comes to protect the integrity of their own community. The Pseudo Indians are ready to present everything to foreign government in the pursuit or to say the process of begging of citizenship, but, expect their own nation to not conduct any process of verification. They will post for acceptance of immigrants but will protest when persecuted minorities from neighboring countries get shelter in this great land. Such is the level of Hypocrisy displayed by these ill effected people in the conflict of ‘Socialism’ and ‘Secularism’.
The so-called Pseudo Intellectuals learn their lesson of history from paid stand-up comedians and You Tubers, who are part of an agenda, rather than the books of history, which does not play with facts. Their idea of economy and peace is limited to their agenda of creating sensation rather than the impact on larger Eco-system. Their short-sightedness looks for short term gains to gather attention rather than long term measures to create balance for generations to come. Their lack of belief in one’s own culture leads to the extinction of once celebrated traditions. Their acceptance of knowledge from foreign sources about disregard for Indian sources knows no bounds.
Measures to Counter Urban (Pseudo) Indians (Brain Drain)
The time has come to inspect this issue on a grass root level. In this world of growing competition, we cannot afford to have Brain Drain. We need bright minds to work for the nation. We need them to believe in the cause of nation. We need them to work on ground level not on social media posts. We need them to counter foreign agendas rather not become a part of it. And the very place to start this process must be our home.
Yes, the very family system, is the core of our Indian Society. We need to integrate our family system with our roots and culture. We must make sure our children get to read the real history of land not the morphed textbook history. We need to tell them stories of our Gods and our temples and our tradition. We need to make them understand the logic and science behind our beliefs. We need to make them question and we need to answer their doubts. We must train them not to believe something just because other acclaimed personalities are believing it. We need to make them think of nation first before taking any action or expressing any emotion while representing on social platforms.
We need to protect our family, our children and our nation from this disease of US DREAM and the inevitable BRAIN DRAIN.
JAI HIND.
